Parada 22... I Haight you

OK so, I swear this place has only been open for a month, but I have already been 2 times. Parada 22, is located next to Cha Cha Cha in the upper Haight, but makes some great counter service Cuban food. Both times I have been I ordered the pork plate (prenil asado) that consisted of huge chunks of slow roasted pork, house made red beans, saffron rice and a great little mixed greens salad, oh and don't forget the plantains. Savory and sweet all in one a great plate of food and for something like $9... doesn't break the bank, considering you could eat it as two meals. But of course, I had to try a bite of the Cubano sandwich. This is a great sandwich, on perfectly crunchy bread with russian type dressing, pork, ham, pickles, and cheese. Again for something like $8.50, you get a sandwich full of flavor and a lot of meat. Everything is very satisfying, and the atmosphere is also great. The turquoise walls, and eclectic photos and art on the wall make Parada 22 a great place to get a little taste of Puerto Rico.
